Fathers and Families Coalition of America

Be the Difference: Join a Coalition Built to Strengthen Families, Elevate Leaders, and Move Hope Into Action

For 27 years, the Fathers and Families Coalition of America has convened leaders, practitioners, fathers, families, authors, advocates, researchers, faith leaders, and community builders. As we prepare for our 28th International Families and Fathers Conference, HOPE 2027, we are inviting you to renew, return, reconnect, and help build the next season of impact.

More Than a Conference. More Than a Membership. A Year-Round Ecosystem of Impact.

Many people first discover FFCA through the International Families and Fathers Conference. That is understandable. The conference has become one of our most visible expressions of mission, community, and professional learning.

But FFCA is much more than a conference. FFCA is a year-round professional development, leadership, training, policy, technical assistance, storytelling, authorship, and coalition-building ecosystem.

Membership and affiliation help sustain that ecosystem so that organizations, practitioners, fathers, families, authors, leaders, and community builders can access training, visibility, connection, and support that many would not otherwise receive.

Who Is Behind This Work?

FFCA is led by Dr. James C. Rodríguez, MSW, CADC, President and Chief Executive Officer, whose work integrates social work, military service, fatherhood advocacy, behavioral health, family strengthening, leadership development, policy engagement, and international coalition-building.

Yet FFCA is not personality-driven. It is purpose-driven. A personality-driven organization rises and falls with one voice. A purpose-driven coalition creates a platform where many voices rise.

FFCA's work is strengthened by an exceptional team of faculty, fellows, trainers, consultants, clinicians, educators, executive coaches, authors, and partners, including leaders such as Dr. Alicia L. Jackson, PhD, Executive International Fellow, and Dr. Wendy T. Talley, LCSW, training expert and professional development leader, along with many others committed to strengthening families and building communities.

This Is Not Only a Written Invitation. It Is a Living Conversation.

The Opportunity Awaits: Lead the Way podcast extends FFCA's mission beyond the conference room and into the lives of leaders, practitioners, authors, advocates, fathers, families, and changemakers. Hosted by Dr. James C. Rodríguez, MSW, the podcast explores purpose, resilience, leadership, family, and the real-life journeys that shape who we become.

When People Tell the Story, the Impact Becomes Clear

The strongest evidence of FFCA's value is not only what we say about our work. It is what participants, leaders, and stakeholders experience through it.

"The Program is exceptional. It allows us to understand concepts from both a personal and professional perspective. We can collaborate with others in the group to discuss and develop our knowledge of the topic."

— Dr. Wendy T. Talley, LCSW

"This is an intense training, but you learn a lot about yourself and the people around you. I highly recommend it."

— Louie Esquibel

The FFCA Training is an enlightening course that empowers you to discover the best of yourself by identifying your personality type, which helps you become aware of your strengths, limitations, and areas for growth, ultimately reaching your full potential. I highly recommend you take this course to gain valuable knowledge for your personal and professional growth. It's a journey of self-discovery and empowerment that will inspire and motivate you."

Consistent Excellence. Practical Value. High Return on Investment.

100%

In 2025 trainings, 100% of respondents would recommend FFCA trainings to peers.

4.8–4.9 / 5.0

Overall 5-point satisfaction ratings across FFCA trainings.

6.5–15

Contact hours of instruction and guided practice per learner.

$17–$38

Approximate value per learner-hour, supporting practical transfer to the workplace.

A Level-1 satisfaction rating of 4.5 out of 5 is commonly treated as a strong success threshold in training evaluation. FFCA's 4.8–4.9 ratings sit above that bar, and the 100% peer recommendation rate demonstrates participant advocacy at the highest level.

Impact. Confidence. Ease.

FFCA's membership invitation is grounded in a simple decision model. People and organizations need to know the impact, trust the credibility, and feel that the next step is clear.

Impact

Membership helps sustain training, leadership institutes, conference engagement, storytelling, technical assistance, affiliate support, policy awareness, and professional development pathways.

Confidence

FFCA has a long history of building bridges, transforming lives, elevating fathers, supporting professionals, and strengthening families through a national and international coalition model.

Ease

Membership and affiliate renewal create a simple pathway to reconnect your organization to a broader platform, trusted relationships, and the next season of shared impact.

What People Receive Through the FFCA Ecosystem

FFCA programs are designed for leaders, practitioners, educators, supervisors, executives, clinicians, family advocates, fatherhood professionals, Head Start teams, faith leaders, community-based organizations, and public systems seeking practical tools for real-world change.

These programs are not built around information alone. They are built around transformation, transfer of learning, and the restoration of confidence, communication, leadership, and purpose.

Members Help Sustain Access for Others

One of FFCA's deepest commitments is to make meaningful learning reachable. In many professional settings, executive coaching, DiSC training, leadership development, trauma-informed care, and applied practice training can cost agencies hundreds or thousands of dollars per person.

Because FFCA is purpose-driven, affiliate and member support help seed opportunities that reduce barriers. This support allows FFCA, when possible, to absorb operational costs, offer complimentary learning experiences, reduce training expenses, and create high-return professional development opportunities for individuals and organizations.

Membership does not simply sustain FFCA. Membership helps FFCA sustain access.

Healing-Centered Training: Kintsugi, Leadership, and Trauma-Informed Practice

FFCA's training model includes mental, emotional, psychological, behavioral, and purpose-driven development. We do not train only for compliance. We train for competence, compassion, confidence, resilience, and wholeness.

Through learning experiences such as The Power of Kintsugi: A Pathway to Meaning, Purpose, and Healing in FFCA Programs, FFCA has helped participants explore trauma-informed care, emotional intelligence, meaning, purpose, and healing-centered practice.

FFCA also provides customized training and technical assistance for affiliates and partners, including culturally responsive leadership development and Kintsugi-informed learning experiences such as those created for our South Carolina FFCA Affiliate, the Catawba Nation.

Authors of Impact: Because Stories Build Movements

Training builds skill. Policy builds pathways. Conferences build community. Stories build meaning.

Through Authors and Books for Impact, FFCA is creating space for authors whose work speaks to purpose, resilience, leadership, healing, family, memoir, cultural truth, and professional wisdom. This platform helps books become bridges between personal experience and collective transformation.

HOPE 2027: The Future Has a New Frequency

The Partner Pavilion: A Smarter Way to Build Together

The HOPE 2027 Partner Pavilion reflects FFCA's next evolution of collaboration. It creates opportunities for mission-aligned organizations to host focused learning experiences, specialty training tracks, certification sessions, panels, or mini-conference models inside the larger HOPE 2027 ecosystem.

This model helps partners expand reach, reduce operational burden, share infrastructure, strengthen visibility, and build sustainable collaboration. Instead of every organization carrying the full weight of planning, staffing, marketing, venue coordination, and logistics alone, the Partner Pavilion creates a shared platform.

Affiliates Gain More Than a Listing

FFCA affiliation is not meant to be passive. Affiliates and members may benefit from visibility, training opportunities, professional development pathways, conference engagement, leadership development, policy awareness, technical assistance, coalition language, letters of support, grant strategy conversations, program design ideas, and connection to a broader network of practitioners, executives, advocates, educators, faith leaders, researchers, and community builders.

In a time when community-based organizations are expected to compete for limited resources, affiliation can create proximity to language, credibility, relationships, strategic thinking, and senior policy conversations that support long-term sustainability.

Progress Has Physics

Progress is not accidental. Progress requires force, direction, alignment, and momentum.

A mission without force becomes a dream. A mission without direction becomes scattered. A mission without alignment becomes exhausted. A mission without momentum becomes memory.

When affiliates renew, they add force. When members engage, they create alignment. When agencies collaborate, they give direction. When we remain connected across seasons, we build momentum.

Your membership is not only a fee. It is a force for progress.

Renew. Return. Reconnect. Be the Difference.

If you are current, continue with us. If you have been away, come home. If you are new, step into the circle. If you have a message to share, submit for HOPE 2027. If you want to partner, explore the Partner Pavilion. If you want your organization to be part of a broader movement for families, fathers, children, leaders, and communities, this is the time to reconnect.
