THE CREDIBILITY OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM

When the curriculum was designed to help Head Start staff, it intentionally supported needed professional development for the now Family, and Community Engagement staff. Over the years, the program has earned the prestigious approval of the NASW for continued education units. FFCA has modules of this dynamic credential program endorsed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for professional development. State of Maryland's Department of Health's Behavioral Health Commitment to Veterans utilized portions of the Advanced Practitioner Credential course to offer professional development to thousands of participants.

The course focused on implementing strategies to ensure the inclusion of men in mental health services, a testament to its quality and recognition regardless if it comes from SAMHSA, state agencies, partnering with universities such as Columbia University, Howard University, Morehouse College, Arizona State University, Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, and The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean as examples of the overall program's commitment to excellence.
