Unmasking Greatness: The FFCA DiSC Training Program™
A Transformational Journey for Leaders and Change-Makers
By Dr. James C. Rodríguez, MSW
President & CEO, Fathers and Families Coalition of America
Are You Ready to Go Beyond Communication—Into True Connection and Growth?
Are you tired of surface-level team training that barely scratches the surface of real growth? Are you searching for a way to build stronger teams—and elevate human potential in yourself and those around you?
Then, now is the moment to take the next step.
The DiSC Training of Trainers Program™ by Fathers and Families Coalition of America (FFCA), in partnership with the California Institute of Health and Social Services, Inc., is more than a training—it's a transformational experience grounded in evidence, empathy, and purpose.
Launching May 28, 2025 (registration open)at our new Los Angeles training center, this hybrid model offers both in-person and virtual sessions. It invites professionals to step into advanced learning that fuses emotional intelligence, trauma-informed care, and personal growth like never before.
Why This Isn't Just Another DiSC Training
While most DiSC courses limit themselves to communication styles, the FFCA DiSC Model™ was intentionally designed to reflect the depth of human experience. It is built on four foundational dimensions:
-
Psychological (thinking and cognition)
-
Behavioral (habits and interaction styles)
-
Emotional (regulation and expression)
-
Noological (meaning, purpose, and transformation)
We don’t just teach people how to collaborate—we guide them to connect, transform, and transcend.
Participants will be invited to explore deeper, life-shaping questions:
-
How can I become a better version of myself?
-
What are my barriers to healthy relationships?
-
Why do I get emotionally stuck in patterns that no longer serve me—especially in relationships?
Built on Research. Refined by Experience.
This 10-hour, 4-week course (May 28 – June 17, 2025) offers immersive instruction and individualized reflection. Participants will engage in live instruction, guided workbook activities, role-play practice, and a post-training coaching session with Dr. Rodríguez. Key components include:
1. The Synergy Between the DiSC Model and Emotion, Behavior, and Purpose
A signature FFCA experience, this segment integrates:
-
The FFCA DiSC Model™
-
John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success
-

-
The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (Hills & Argyle, 2002)
Participants map their dominant DiSC traits to success behaviors like Poise, Loyalty, and Confidence, revealing how purpose aligns with action.
Reflection prompt:
How can a "High D" leader develop patience and poise without compromising their drive?
2. DiSCovering Yourself to Help Others – Trauma Bonding Segment and Activities
This segment addresses how trauma bonding shows up in communication patterns, workplace dynamics, and leadership blind spots. Participants will explore the impact of emotional masking and learn to cultivate trust, authenticity, and self-nurturance through guided DiSC-based strategies.
Insight:
Identifying cycles of emotional reinforcement helps professionals address burnout, rebuild morale, and guide their teams toward resilience.
3. Understanding DiSC and Five Love Languages with Emotional Mapping
