The theme for the 2024 conference is "Finding A Cause Bigger Than Self". The conference will be held at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel located at 5711 W Century BLVD, Los Angeles, CA 90045. Special Academies and Pre-Conference Sessions will take place on Sunday, April 21, and Monday, April 22. The main conference days are from Tuesday, April 23 to Thursday, April 25.

The conference offers workshops and specialty training programs for parents, professionals, practitioners, educators, leaders, and more. There will be over 50 in-person workshop sessions, and every breakout has workshops or specialty training programs.

The conference strands include Engaging Parents in The Classroom, Fatherhood Program Curriculums and Models, Foster Care & Child Welfare, Health & Mental Health, Practitioner Engaging Parents, Research Related Work with Fathers & Families, Working With Fathers in the Justice Systems, and Youth & Young Parent.

Collaboration is the key to success, and the conference is collaborating with many talented individuals to host real-time roundtable sessions to enhance professional and parent development engagement strategies. There will be a special off-site bus tour to Shoreline Village beachfront on Monday, April 22, leaving at 4:00 p.m. and returning by 9:00 p.m.

The conference enhancements include a new registration tier for all-inclusive meals or the option to eat alone, a new bundle plan for those who want to take more than one unique credential program, and new TBD registration is allowed. If you're unsure who you're sending to FFCA Conference next year, you can register your team to lock in the discounted Early-Bird rate and reserve their spaces as "TBD" in the name field. When ready, add their names to your registration account by April 8.

The Expo Ballroom will be in one location, and each session will have dedicated facilitators. Speakers must be in-person to avoid the pitfalls of virtual only. Speakers must also submit PowerPoints to upload as protected PDF files for attendee resources within the Whova portal for instant access. All workshops will be on the second floor to increase community and networking opportunities.

Diversity is the best word to describe the national conference. Attendees represent diverse professional fields such as child welfare, early childhood, marriage and family therapists, social work, criminal justice, psychologists, educators, counselors, family service workers, fatherhood practitioners, public policy, and foundations. The diversity of attendee ages ranges from teens to our eldest attendee at 104 years young!! In 2023, we honored a Couple of Excellence with Mr. Lloyd Allen, 102 years old, with his bride Norma. The diversity of culture is progressive at this national event. One final theme of our conference is the sense of bonding. We have a platform that has forged friendships, professional colleagues, resources, and a deep understanding of community, all seeking to help others.

The conference is not just for men or fathers only. It is one of the more diverse events, not just by gender but by the diversity of backgrounds. FFCA is honored to host researchers, elected policy-makers, and CEOs of for-profit ventures and blend with nonprofits, interfaith and local to national government attendees. About 90% of attendees work helping mothers and fathers, oversee programs working with children and families, and ensure staff gets valued professional development support (proven evidence-based interventions and cutting-edge) for continuous quality improvement. Most seek ways to enhance approaches towards fathers and make a difference in the lives of children, parents, families, and communities.

All workshops, general sessions, roundtables, exceptional networking, and exhibitors will be LIVE! When you register, the email you use for enrollment is the "ticket" to create your schedule and RSVP for the sessions. The conference will be a limited (100 remote attendee registration) hybrid event. You will be able to connect with attendees and speakers for six months. All general sessions and up to six workshops daily will be mixed, with a cloud-based recording accessible post-conference.

The conference is engaging as it is entirely LIVE and in real-time. In 2024, the conference has partnered with a new events audio-visual team, streaming enhancements, and more that allow you to create your program/schedule for the whole conference by day, time block, and track(s) so you can attend an entire meeting vs. on-demand, taped, playback or limited workshop sessions like others are hosting around the nation/internationally.
