Research has shown that children and families benefit greatly from the presence and participation of a Nurturing Father. The Nurturing Father's Program has helped participants improve their understanding of child development, demonstrate empathy towards children's needs, and adopt alternative strategies to corporal punishment. Participants have also reported increased acceptance of their own and their children's needs and values, as well as the value of empowering children. These outcomes have been validated in a separate study for African-American, Hispanic, and Caucasian fathers.
