Nancy Ocasio
FFCA DiSC Faculty Member

In 2022, the Fathers and Families Coalition of America established formal pathways to join as one of our certified faculty members. We are honored to have Nancy Ocasio join the DiSC Faculty and augment the essential language acquisition services for Spanish-speaking conference attendees. Nancy is an adjunct FFCA faculty member. Nancy Ocasio is an Early Childhood Educator with nearly two decades in the field. In 2014 she received a phone call about a position at a Head Start program in Warren County, N.J., that changed her life. Nancy did not apply for this position and had little knowledge about the program. When she realized what the job entailed and that it was going to be beyond early education, she was up for the challenge. Through the years in the Head Start program, she has developed a passion for community work and advocacy, concentrating her efforts on the rights of undocumented families. While she continues her work with child development, Nancy also has the opportunity to educate families on safety, self-advocacy, and mental well-being.

Following her passion for helping the community and empowering others, Nancy recently has become a Certified Life Coach specializing in Goal Success and Happiness. Nancy’s hope for the future is to start an advocacy group for Latino families in different life transitions such as cultural, domestic, education, and career. In 2022, she was elevated to a position with Northamption County as her passion to be in service of others continues, as a Caseworker for the Department of Human Services.
