Fathers & Families Coalition - New Jersey
The Regional FFCA Affiliate Lead led byThe UIH Family Partners. This is one of the outstanding agencies that serve families led by Karen Andrade-Mims, Executive Director that has led the Mission of The UIH Family Partners that is "Empowering men, fathers and families to achieve self-sufficiency." Our Vision is that "Every father is positively impacting his children and family – socially, emotionally and economically." When a man walks into our office, he is treated with respect for the courage he demonstrates by asking for help. We support those who have difficult but promising backgrounds because communities benefit from our efforts to produce engaged, responsible fathers and citizens. UIH Family Partners is the oldest non-profit dedicated to child welfare in New Jersey. Founded in 1859 as an orphanage, the venue and services have changed over time to reflect changing needs in the community while still serving vulnerable youth and families.
BUILDING A FOUNDATION OF HOPE FOR THE FUTURE
In 2020, UIH Family Partners examined its exceptional history and renamed to The Fathers Center of New Jersey. The Father Center of New Jersey is an innovative community organization that believes that children grow best when father figures are involved in their lives. Some fathers face challenges that prevent them from being fully engaged with their children, and we are here to support them – including adolescents, juvenile offenders, and ex-offenders who are re-entering the community. We provide opportunities for growth and success in a safe and comfortable space.

GREATER NEWARK HEALTH CARE COALITION
June 2020, we were honored to have a new affiliate form the State of New Jersey join Fathers and Families Coalition of America.
The Greater Newark Health Care Coalition is a collaborative comprised of people with substantial decision-making authority in health care, government, academia, social service, and community advocacy.
GNHCC’s mission is to significantly improve quality and access to health care for the residents of the Greater Newark area by collaborating to develop initiatives specifically aimed at identifying and limiting disparities and other barriers that lead to poor health outcomes in order to improve health and well-being.
As such, GNHCC drives health planning efforts directed at bettering the structural, governmental and social conditions necessary for improving the health status of the communities they serve.
